Latvia’s Centenary Ball
at NSW Parliament House

There is a lot to celebrate this year with Latvia’s centenary! Throughout November the Sydney Latvian Society will be hosting a number of events from the 11th November to the 23rd November. The culmination will be a Centenary Ball in the NSW Parliament's Strangers Dining Room. This is the perfect venue to celebrate such an important event in the presence of NSW politicians and the Latvian Ambassador to Australia. Firstly, this is the oldest parliament in Australia . and secondly, the room was designed by Australian-Latvian architect Andrew Andersons.

Included in the ticket price is a 3-course dinner and drinks, (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). We will start the night overlooking Sydney’s Domain park, followed by dinner in the Strangers Dining Room as the sun sets over the city. Don’t forget to wear your dancing shoes as Latvian group Dagamba will be playing Latvian music from the past 100 years, with potentially some folk dancing at the end of the evening (TBC).

This is a formal event, so the dress code is black tie or national costume.
